About the Therapists
Katie Day, LMFT
Founder
Like so many in this area, I am also a Tennessee transplant. After trying out several other states my family settled in Spring Hill in 2018.
I have personally felt the importance of finding a safe space and know the courage it takes to step into our stories. I have also felt the financial burden of sticking with therapy and I am passionate about providing a quality, affordable, and accessible therapy option.
Wholehearted Counseling was formed with a mission to see this passion pursued. Through a partnership with Church of the City, a collection of talented therapists, and the sweet grace of God, we are seeing incredible things happen in our community.
I would be honored to walk with you as you make your way through life’s ups and downs. Together, we will brave the dark and discover hope again. We will learn new skills and better understand ourselves through sincere commitment to the healing process.
When I am not in the office I am focusing on being a wife and a mother to four amazing children. I love to be outside and would choose the mountains in fall over the beach any day.
Let’s begin this journey together.

Julie Krager, LCSW

For over 15 years, I had the opportunity to serve students and families in the church setting. In 2015, our family made the move to Middle Tennessee and we love living here! After moving to Tennessee, I learned about anti-trafficking advocacy and shifted to serving survivors of human trafficking and sexual assault in the non-profit sector. These combined experiences have prepared me to support youth, adults, and families. I am passionate about advocating against sex-trafficking and raising awareness for prevention education in our community.
I received my Masters in Social Work from Middle Tennessee State University with a focus on trauma informed counseling and a B.A. in Adolescent Studies/Youth Ministries. Life can be complex; it is a privilege to help journey through challenges with resources, skills, and support. Seeing lives restored includes working with clients who experience anxiety, PTSD, depression, complex trauma, religious trauma, and other co-occurring disorders.
I am also a wife and a mom of two sons. When we have leisure time—it’s spent on the soccer fields, hiking, water skiing, or horseback riding.

Ashley Culpepper, LPC-MHSP (temp)
Growing up in rural Mississippi, therapy was a foreign concept for a long time. Then I experienced my own mental health struggles after my children were born. And in 2019, my life purpose was made clear to me: encourage others and help them heal, just like others have done for you.
I am passionate about making therapy approachable and normalizing conversations about mental health. My background includes helping those with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, trauma, addiction, and those who want to understand more about themselves. In session I use a combination of empathy, neuroscience, and humor.
When not in the office, I like to spend time with my husband and two kids, daydream about our next trip, or geocache.

I am trained in Brainspotting and have been using it the past 5 years to treat clients with PTSD and childhood trauma/abuse. I also enjoy working with adolescents and teenagers with substance use issues, anxiety, depression and difficult life adjustments.
Prior to getting into the mental health field I coached college, high school and middle school lacrosse and have a passion for working with people. I have been on my own personal journey of healing and recovery for the past 18 years. My goal is to help provide a safe environment for people to explore their own life stories and wounds and get healing.

As a wife and mother of three busy kids, I understand the importance of creating balance and finding peace amid the chaos of life. With extensive experience supporting children, preteens, teens, and adults in both outpatient and hospital settings, I’m deeply committed to helping individuals and families navigate their mental health journeys. Whether dealing with trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges or the stress of parenting, my focus is on creating a compassionate and structured environment where you can feel truly heard and supported.
In my practice, I believe in setting clear and attainable goals so together we can track your progress and celebrate your achievements. Whether you choose the connection of in-person sessions or the flexibility of telehealth, I’m dedicated to walking alongside you every step of the way on your path to healing and personal growth.
Aside from providing therapy, I enjoy watching college sports and spending as much time outdoors as possible. I love reading both for fun and education and I am a firm believer that trying new foods is the best part of traveling. Credentials & Trainings

M.S. in Social Work from University of Tennessee, Knoxville
Rose Erickson, Masters Level Intern
Intake Specialist
I come from a small town in Minnesota. I made the move to Tennessee about 5 years ago and found my passion in social work. I completed my Bachelors in Social Work from Middle Tennessee State University and am now working toward my Masters in Social Work. After graduation next spring I will continue to provide therapy services while pursuing my clinical licensure path.
My current interests lie in working with women, particularly survivors of violence, but I am excited to work with all populations to see who I can serve best. I am passionate about helping others heal from their trauma and cope in healthy ways. I interned at AncoraTN last year, working with survivors of trafficking. There, I led 3 days of Intensive Outpatient Therapy on the subject of coping and saw how critical healthy coping skills are, and how important it is to empower a client to explore the strengths and skills they may already have. Therapy has my heart, and I am excited to see my personal growth during my time with Wholehearted Counseling.
I work part-time at a senior-living home as a cook and I absolutely love it. I am an extrovert and love meeting new people! I also enjoy a good sitcom and spending time outside with my boyfriend and our dog.

Taylor Lofton, Masters Level
Administrative Assistant & Intake Coordinator
My name is Taylor Lofton, and I am currently pursuing my master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling at Tennessee Technological University with a bachelors in psychology. I graduate May 2026 and will continue to pursue getting my license in Tennessee.
My passion for mental health stems from my personal experience of healing as well as watching those closest to me undergo their own journeys. These experiences along with my faith have shaped my commitment and passion for supporting others in their pursuit of healing, growth, and resilience. I have first hand seen the power that can come from sitting in a safe space and processing the little and big things going on in your world. A few of my current therapeutic areas of interest are anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, addiction and substance abuse, as well as working with the adult and elderly population.
When I am not at school or work I am definitely a homebody and love spending time with my boyfriend and family. I am always down to try a new recipe, binge a series, or go on a run.
